Working together we will assign names or numbers to different designated areas of your new facilities and we’ll use that floor plan as a basic guide for your move. Prior to the day of the move, Across Moving & Delivery Moving will talk directly to the building management of both the building your business is moving out of and the building your business is moving into.

We will be certain to understand their requirements in order to secure a smooth move for your business on moving day. We will direct our insurance company to provide each of the building owner’s management teams with a certificate of insurance with their names as additional insured. We provide crating services or in-house crating for fragile and fine shipments. We offer pickup and delivery of uncreated material as well.

CLEANUP – South Florida and Northern California

Sometimes you just want to get old stuff out of your way before moving to the new home. Moving undesirable things is not really a wise move, so prior to the moving date we will come and remove everything you don’t care about. It will make your moving so much easier and organized.


Boxes: All loose belongings need to be boxed. You can do this yourself, hire us to do it all for you, or have us do partial packing (for example, pack only fragile items and antiques). You can purchase new boxes from Across Moving & Delivery.

Some available are double-corrugated for extra strength and come in special sizes to make it easier to pack. It is important to know how many boxes your move will require, both in terms of obtaining them and budgeting your time. Use the chart below to help you get an idea. (Keep in mind, however, that the longer you’ve lived in your home, the more stuff you will have accumulated.)

Note: The amount/size of your unique belongings will determine the final number of boxes you’ll require.


Tape: Every box needs to be taped, top and bottom, with 2 – 2 1/2 inch gummed or masking tape to give it additional strength and prevent opening. You will need approximately one roll of tape for every 15 to 20 boxes. You can buy the tape from the hardware store or Across Moving & Delivery.

Wrapping paper: Ordinary newspaper will do fine for this purpose, but be careful because the print will run. For items you want to keep clean, you can buy unprinted white packing paper from us.

Blankets: Furniture should be wrapped in blankets for its protection. Leave this job to us. We will provide the use of blankets free of charge.

Original packing: Whenever it’s available, use the original packing material for your electronic items (stereo, computer, etc.)
